NY Fashion Week Opens a Show to the Public

Getting an invitation to New York Fashion Week is one of the most coveted items in the city.  This year it may be just a little bit easier to grab tickets to the events.  There will be a public runway show to kick off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.  While designers will be featuring collections for Spring 2011, this show is designed to remind people of the current trends in stores and available to buy now.

This initiative is a great way to get people in the mood to shop now and thus strengthen the economy by shopping local retailers. In NYC the fashion industry is only second to finance with over 800 fashion companies in the city.

There will also be the second annual "Fashion's Night Out".  This promises to be the biggest fashion party in history.  This global event includes shopping, shows, parties, designers, models and contests that are all part of this amazing event taking place on September 10, 2010.
