Plutocracy

Plutocracy is an amazing label based out of New York.

Anitra Michelle, is the design force behind the label Plutocracy.  She debuted her first collection during New York's Fashion Week in the fall of 2009.  With a natural talent of design she studied fashion at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).  She's worked for reknowned designers like Vera Wang and Karl Lagerfeld so, she's obviously been schooled by the best in the world.  She's even had her work appear in an ad campaign for Alvin Ailey.

Her clothing fuses American design with the culture of Africa through print and styling.  She says she creates for a dynamic woman and chooses her fabrics to express the individual style of every woman.
