It's Black History Month and to celebrate, Style & Culture is featuring significant stories in fashion. Supermodel, Beverly Johnson recently appeared on Oprah with Christie Brinkley and Cheryl Tiegs discussing what an impact they made in the world of modeling. Johnson paved the way when she became the first Black model to appear on the cover of US Vogue magazine in 1974. This cover photo above helped to redefine the standards of beauty in fashion. She went on to grace the covers of hundreds of magazines throughout her modeling career.
Johnson is also an author, actress and successful entrepreneur with her line of Beverly Johnson Wigs.
