Fashion Remembers 9/11
When the World Trade Center was under attack 10 years ago, it was the middle of New York Fashion Week. Designers were showing collections for Spring 2002 and many were oblivious to what had been going on in lower Manhattan until the stories started trickling in and some models arrived at Bryant Park covered in the dust and soot.
Once what was happening was confirmed, the shows came to a halt. Designers, models and attendees quickly fled for safety as the rest of the cities residents.
Ten years after the attacks on the World Trade Center, the fashion world remembers what brought Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week to a halt a decade ago.
